Fund performances
As we approach the end of the year it is perhaps an opportunity to assess unit trust fund performances over the past few years. There has been a lot of gloom and doom about the state of the world economy and the crisis in Europe. Clearly one does not want to minimize the extent of the crisis and there will continue to be uncertainty in the markets as we move into the New Year. But how have South African unit trust funds performed over the past few years?
Listed below are the performances of some of the funds that we regularly use in our portfolio construction. Although the results are mixed, investors have generally had positive returns.
